9th April another day at Kwiambal
Didn’t feel too good this morning. Had a lousy night’s sleep because I had suddenly developed a sore throat in the evening.
Just like yesterday’s hike, the trail was not well marked. In fact it was worse than yesterday because there were no signs along the way at all. We did however, have AllTrails and Gaia to navigate by and as long as we kept the river on our right we were OK!!!!
Was a nice walk with some sections obvious and others not so obvious

Pretty flora

Views of the river along the way

Interesting plants

Humpys

Wow the track was quite clear here

But not so clear here

Interesting terrain

With some huge boulders

Views of the river

And finally reaching Lemon Tree Flat campground

Bill reorganised the solar panels when we got back.
Lunch of coral trout and veggies
Drove back to camp a different way along Limestone Creek road

Not a bad road

It joined the other road that we went out on

A few other campers at the camp site when we got back, one a Swift pop up with an old land rover down one end and a group of bikers from the Gold Coast just getting away for the weekend, down the other end
So slow moving this morning. Also had just realised that we had in fact got another day here, whereas I thought that we were leaving today. We were going to do the Kookibitta to Lemon Tree Flat walk first then pack up and leave, so it was lucky that we weren’t leaving. It meant that we didn’t have to rush.
We did the walk

As I wasn’t feeling well I didn’t really feel like crashing back through the bush so we just walked back around to the campsite via the road. Equal distance anyway and a darn site faster.
Bill reorganised the solar panels when we got back.
Unfortunately there hasn’t been enough sun to charge the batteries in the van on previous days but today had been sunny
Lunch of coral trout and veggies
In the afternoon we headed out to Wallangra to try to utilise some internet but unfortunately the signal wasn’t powerful enough there so we drove in to Ashford.
Found good signal there and sat in Walter McRae Park to use the internet
